Shortly for the Patents

In order to be patentable, the invention must fulfill certain conditions for: - novelty; - invention step and for - industrial applicability.

The exclusive right in an invention shall compose the right to be use the invention, the right to prohibit other persons from using it without the consent of the owner of the patent and the right to dispose of the patent.

Patent protection means that the invention cannot be commercially made, used, distributed or sold without the patent owner's consent. These patent rights are usually enforced in a court, which, in most systems, holds the authority to stop patent infringement.

The right to dispose of patent gives an opportunity to provide the license of right, the contractual license, providing the patent as a security object, providing the patent as a registered pledge object, compulsory license and as well as compulsory cross-license.

A patent provides protection for the invention to the owner of the patent. The protection is granted for a limited period, generally 20 years and for a certain territory/ies.

Patents provide incentives to individuals by offering them recognition for their creativity and material reward for their marketable inventions. These incentives encourage innovation, which assures that the quality of human life is continuously enhanced.
